White Elephant Christmas Party for Women

I have a great friend who likes to get the girls together at Christmas time but she didn't want to make it too complicated for everyone. She lets you know when to come and the appetizers and desserts come along with you but only if you want to bring one.

She always sets up a small craft that you can make if you want while you're at the party.

The exchange of gifts is a White Elephant so you don't know what you are going to get and you don't know who you will get it from. The gifts have been everything from a candle, to a VCR with some tapes, a gag gift or even an old pair of work boots.

The whole idea is not about the gifts which can switch hands up to two times but just a chance to be together and laugh. The gifts come in wrapped and are placed under the Christmas tree.

When we are ready to exchange the gifts we gather around and are given a playing card. When your card comes up you take a gift or you can take a gift that has already been opened as long as it has not been taken twice. If a gift is taken from you, you can take from a friend or open a new gift.

We have a great time guessing what it is and you never know what someone else may treasure. Hope you enjoy this idea for fun party with the girls.
