The pomegranate blueberry martini was just invented sometime during the last few years. Before that, I had never heard of it. Seems like anything made with pomegranate is popular these days.
There are so many different ways to make it but this is how I do it:
Shake ingredients with ice for 1 minute in a martini shaker. Pour into some martini glasses and garnish with an orange slice. Crisp and refreshing!
Check out our specially selected martini glassware while you are here. It is handcrafted by artisans all over the world and sold by one of our partner sites, Novica.com. There stuff is just beautiful, truly one-of-a-kind glassware.
Rather than mix a pomegranate martini with fruit juices, some people like to use PAMA, known as "the world's first true pomegranate liqueur." I have a friend who makes hers with this sweet and tart pomegranate liqueur. Here is her recipe:
Mix PAMA, vodka and Grand Marnier in a martini shaker with ice. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with lemon zest. Although the liqueur is tart, the Grand Marnier provides just enough sweetness to balance it out.
