Home: Hoisin Dipping Sauce
Hoisin Dipping Sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon toasted seasame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoon water
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon seasame seeds
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
In a small mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, seasame oil, garlic, green onion, water, hoisin sauce, ginger, sugar, vinegar, seasame seeds and red pepper flakes (all ingredients).
Mix well, cover and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours to allow flavors time to blend. Before serving, pour mixture into a small saucepan and heat. If you want it to be thicker, add more hoisin sauce. Serve warm.
This dipping sauce works especially well with the broth fondues found at the link below.
