Do you have any great football party ideas? More than likely, you have been to or hosted a party having to do with this beloved American sport. I know we have.
Party at the Pub
The latest event was a football party, hosted by my family, at a local pub. It turned out to be one of the best football party ideas we ever came up with. The greatest thing about this party was that is was so easy for us to plan and execute. Check out the slideshow from our special football party:

Our team (The Chicago Bears) was scheduled to play their rival team (The Green Bay Packers) a couple of days before Christmas. The timing could not have been better because everybody was home for the holidays and looking for a party.
Rather than host a party at our home, we decided to reserve a special party room at a local pub. All we had to do was make the call to the pub and send out a simple Powerpoint invitation (learn how here) via email and that was it! Easy, easy.
It is quite common for bars to have a party room available. In my experience, most are free of charge because they make their money on the sale of beverages.
A Sigh of Relief
On game day, we showed up in our Bears attire and what did we find? An absolutely beautiful room which held up to 100 people, had its own bar and bartender, a waitress, free, hot appetizers, 3 big screen TVs and seating for everyone! What more could you ask for?
About 60 of our friends and their kids showed up and watched what ended up being the best game of the season. Lots of excitement throughout the game but the end was unbelievable. Bears blocked a Packers kick and ended up winning in overtime (20-17). How sweet it is!
We can assure you, reserving a special room at a local pub is one of the best football party ideas and we will certainly be doing it again. All we had to do was show up. No cooking, no mess to clean up, nothing to do except enjoy the big game with family and friends.
A nice way to go especially if you are short on time around the holidays.
