Spicy Chicken Spagetti Casserole
We love chicken spaghetti recipes because they are lower in fat. If you use chicken sausage links as opposed to ground chicken, you can easily achieve a very flavorful dish without having to add alot of spices.
Using jarred pasta sauce, this Spicy Spaghetti Casserole Recipe can be thrown together in under 20 minutes.
5 chicken sausage links, any variety
1-2 jars favorite pasta sauce
1/2 cup chopped black and green olives
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper or more to taste
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
16 oz. pasta, any variety
Prepare pasta as directed on package being sure to salt the water.
Slice sausages and place on sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, baked sausage slices, pepper and chopped olives. Pour in one jar of sauce and stir well. If you like more sauce, add from a 2nd jar until satisfied.
Pour all into a casserole dish. In the photo above, I served it as is but you can top it with more Parmesan or Mozerella and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
I buy my chicken sausage at Sams Club or Costco where you can usually find several flavorful varieties, like Members Mark or Al Fresco brands.
