I learned a valuable lesson yesterday that I decided to share.
Kentucky Derby is tomorrow and I am planning to make Mint Juleps. About a week ago I started looking for mint in the stores around town and was having trouble finding it. Finally I found some beautiful, fresh herbs at a local store and bought two big bunches of mint a couple days ago.
I thought the right thing to do was to place the stems upright in a glass filled with a couple inches of water and place it in my bar fridge. This morning I checked on them and they are wilted beyond useage. Ho, hum.
Now I have to run around town this morning looking for more or my plan of serving Mint Juleps is ruined. To avoid making the same mistake twice, I researched how to store fresh herbs and wrote a quick page on it here:

Enjoy the weekend! Kentucky Derby and Mothers Day, back to back.
